It doesn't take a genius to realize that all your facebook updates from a foreign country could tip off burglars that you're not at home.
Today's story surrounds an incident in NH, where fear became reality:

I always wondered about those in my "friends circle" who constantly brag about their distant whereabouts... only to tip off those who may have a motive to know that "You're not home", and too far away to protect the homestead.
It certainly took a very long time for this to happen, and wonder if this will:
- Tip off new burglars that they can use facebook, myspace, twitter, and foursquare as lead gen for their heists
- Make people change their online behavior and place additional protections, limit viewers, and or avoid telling people that they're not at home now.
The aged old balance between vanity and sanity ....
